- Engineering2Empower
The SOLUTION to the permanent housing crisis in Haiti cannot be imported, imposed or donated. It has to be one that empowers the people to become SELF-RELIANT.

VISION: Engineering2Empower (E2E) is a team of faculty and students at the University of Notre Dame who, along with their partners, envision a world where all families can afford a safe, dignified home.
MISSION: E2E facilitates access to housing, primarily by seeding an integrated process that empowers local entrepreneurs to deliver engineered urban housing in the free market within informal economies like Haiti.
Who is
E2E?
How can I participate?
Located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, the E2E Expo is a showcase for urban housing solutions for the families of post-quake Haiti.
These humble prototypes are more than houses but homes... homes that for many Haitians were once a dream, but with your help, actually possible!
In Haiti there is a proverb, Piti, piti, wazo fe nich li…Little by little the bird builds its nest. It’s the truest embodiment of how homes were built in Haiti, little by little, block by block. Who would dare to dream there could be a different way?
You can join E2E in bringing new, safe and affordable reconstruction to Haiti and accompanying these families on their journey toward empowerment. Together we can prove it is time to change that proverb: Little by Little a flock of birds will help to build the nest!
